Introduction

For my first post, I want to tell you a little about myself and what I will  be posting on my blog. I am a graduated home-schooler from a small town in Northeast Wisconsin. I am.... A Christian; by faith alone, in Christ's finished work on the cross. a photographer, an avid musician, a reader, a twin, a listener, a friend, a crafter, a writer (or so I try) and most of all I am an observer. Everywhere I go,  you can find me watching and studying everything around me. From people and their behaviors,  to their actions, and feelings. To God's wonderful creation in this world. This is because I view the world at a different angle. Through photos and words, I will try to show you how I see it.

Let your Light Shine

Image
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine. We are all afraid of something. One of the most common fears is of the dark. I am at times. Think about it: why would someone be afraid of the dark? -They'd get lost -No sense of direction -Can’t see/ loss of senses -Stumble, or fall (get hurt) -Isolation/ feel alone The best thing to overcome those fears is with light; as you gain understanding and perspective of what is going on around you. Just as there are different people in the world, there are many different sources of light.  Night-light Star-light Fire/ candle light Flashlight Lightning Head-light I know more can be listed; these were just a few that came to my mind while writing this. However, there is one light source one might not initially think of; turn to John 8:12 "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying,  I am the light of the world:  he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." Jesus is the light of the worl...

2025

Image
It’s the first day of 2025, where intentions of bettering ones self and setting resolutions are in high spirit. Why not include starting off the year with the most import decision you will ever make, that will last the rest of your life! I encourage you in your endeavors of reaching a financial mark, loosing weight, and gaining knowledge (or any other goal you’ve set) as all are good things to aim for; even I have a few. Please remember, though they make life more pleasurable, all are only temporary, as death is inevitable for everyone. However, the one thing that will last forever is your soul. Have you thought about what will happen to it after your time on earth has ended? If not, this is the time to know for sure. “ Wherefore, as by one man sin entered the world”   (Romans 5:12)  That one man was the first person created in the world. This happened when Adam ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.  (Genesis 2:17)  Why does this matter? Romans continu...

Better

Image
While reading Hebrews I noticed a pattern: Better position/creation Heb 1:4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. Better Hope Hebrews 7:19 KJV For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did ; by the which we draw nigh unto God. Better Testement Hebrews 7:22 KJV By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. More excellent ministry/ better covenant Hebrews 8:6 KJV But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. Better sacrifice Hebrews 9:23 KJV It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us . Romans 5:8 Which is the better sacrifice given. Better enduring sub...

Freely Given

Image
1 Corinthians 2:12 KJV Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. What are the things that are freely given to us?  JUSTIFICATION Romans 3:24-26 KJV Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: [25] Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; [26] To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Romans 5:1 KJV Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: RIGHTEOUSNESS Romans 5:18-19 KJV Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. [19] For as by one man's disobedie...

F-R-I-E-N-D-S

F-R-I-E-N-D-S Written for the April 2022 "To love, and Be Loved" girls retreat. “ Friendship is one of God’s way of taking care of us here on earth.”  As humans, we are not meant to live alone in solitary. We can see this in the first book of the Bible, in both Genesis 1:26 and Genesis 2:18    Genesis 1:26 “And God said, Let us make man in  our  image, after  our  likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”    Genesis 2:18 “And the LORD God said, [It is]  not good that the man should be alone ; I will make him an help meet for him.” Man was not created to be alone, so God created a companionship; a helpmeet. In my words, “Women are the other piece of the human puzzle.” Made meet; or accurately acceptable; to help. There will be people we come in conta...

Great is Thy Faithfulness

Image
Stumbled across an arrangement of  "Great is Thy Faithfulness" awhile back, and have played it numerous of times. As the lyrics say; [V1]Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father There is no shadow of turning with Thee Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be [V3]Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside [Chorus] Great is Thy faithfulness Great is Thy faithfulness Morning by morning, new mercies I see All I have needed, Thy hand hath provided Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me What a wonderful reminder that I am a child of God; I can call him my Father. He never changes , He is always present, and He  sacrificed his son for our redemption from sin. We are given joy and peace of our future;because we are given the ending through his word. Psalm 28:7 KJV The Lord is my strength and...

Learning to Walk Again

Image
I don't know why I stopped writing, I just did... A lot has happened  since my last blog post. Imagine everything  is going fine in your life, though there were some hills you had to climb you knew that you were on the right path and making good headway. Then the next time you look back, or look up; you  realize how far off the path you actually are. Now lost, alone, and  know so much time was wasted-you panic.  Scared there is no way to return, and you don't know how you got to this point...  Embarrassingly, that describes me. I headed out without a map, thinking I knew the way. Sadly, I became lost on my journey. School took all my focus, and then working multiple jobs drove me to do better financially; and set my priorities differently. Though I excelled in what I sat out to do, I didn't get the satisfaction I thought I would. It surprised me how I got to where I am currently. Now, looking back, I can see everything with a different unders...
