The time I: became 7 again

Everyone takes something for granted and it's hard sometimes watching others throw theirs away when you'd wish they could experience it through your eyes, or ears in my case.  I'm talking about hearing.

I recently was granted a new hearing aid through DVR. An update was needed for a hearing test, because it has been five years since my last one.  Thankfully my hearing hasn't dropped more than a few decimals.

Some might  say that my hearing-loss is a terrible thing.  Yes, I do have my moments where I absolutely hate that I don't have better hearing, but most of the time I look at it as a learning and sharing experience. I have become more aware of my surroundings and can read people better because I focus on visual cues.

God did not give me a hearing loss. However, He uses the girl who has trouble hearing; as a musician who plays by ear, as a photographer who sees and shows the small details of his creation, and the "different-according-to-the worlds-standards" girl to show compassion, respect, and acceptance to others.

God takes you as you are, flaws and all. He uses our weaknesses and turns them into strengths for His glory. We all have the ability to reach out to someone, due to a similar connection or through our life.
What is something in your life that you have been negatively thinking about yourself, how can you turn it around and make it something to use to help others?
[Rom 12:4-5 KJV] 4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5 So we, [being] many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

[1Co 12:12 KJV] 12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also [is] Christ.

A few weeks later my new hearing aid came in. Once I stepped out of the office, I had huge a wave of nostalgia.  Who knew a little microphone could make a huge difference. I felt like I was seven again and hearing the world for the first time.

My eyes glistened with tears because  I could hear small things you'd normally just listen over. I was so use to my old one, I'd forgotten...

Our lives should reflect Christ as if we are learning or experiencing something for the first time, over and over again. There should be that spark, or awe, in our everyday lives. What can we do to show the love of God to others.
